Repubblica: Milan do not want to lose Ibrahimovic as they await decision on future

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan do not want to lose Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the end of the season and are waiting for a decision from him on his future, a report claims.

La Repubblica (via MilanNews) talks about the future of Ibrahimovic, whose contract will expire on June 30th. The second part of the season was heavily affected by some physical problems for the Swede and that has limited his playing time greatly.

Ibrahimovic will only make a decision on whether to retire or not at the end of the season. As for Milan’s intentions, the Rossoneri do not want to lose him in any capacity, which certainly suggests and openness to discuss any role within the club.

There has been speculation that he could remain as a first team manager, as a member of the coaching staff or even tracing Paolo Maldini’s path on the management side of things. However, we must wait to see if he calls time on his career as a player first.
