AC Milan are just four points away from the Scudetto thanks to their win against Hellas Verona last night. And while two games remain, the concerned parties have started to evaluate a potential Scudetto party.
The Rossoneri will face Atalanta at home this weekend and kick-off is scheduled for 18:00 CEST. The time and date haven’t been confirmed for the final game against Sassuolo yet, but an update has arrived on the matter.
According to La Repubblica, as cited by MilanNews, the idea was initially to have Milan and Inter play on the Saturday, that is May 21st. Radio Italia will host a concert on Piazza Duomo that day, though, forcing Serie A to post for another day.
The games will thus be played on Sunday the 22nd, per the newspaper, and the kick-off time will be 15:00 CEST for those games. It might not sound like an ideal time, but there is a logical reason behind it.
Should Milan win, then San Siro will quickly be changed to a celebration setting after Inter’s game, thus allowing the Rossoneri players and fans to enter it upon returning from the away clash against Sassuolo. Hence the need for an early kick-off.
I know these things need planning in advance but it always feels really bad to hear about something that isn’t necessary likely to happen! Tempting fate they call it…
If we win, this would be a great ending for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The big brother of all milan players the one that drives them forward
