Repubblica: Milan make Spurs defender their primary target – the formula eyed

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan need to bring in a centre-back before the start of the season amid the departure of Alessio Romagnoli. Several names have been mentioned as of late but one in particular is gathering steam, namely Japhet Tanganga.

The Tottenham product is expected to leave the English side this summer in order to get more playing time. Milan have been linked with him in the öpast as well and have now reignited their interest, after missing out on Sven Botman.

As reported by La Repubblica (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri have made Tanganga their No.1 target for the defence and work is underway for a loan. The idea is to include a buy-out option, just like they did when they signed Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea.

It remains to be seen if Tottenham will agree to this. This morning, Gazzetta Dello Sport  (via MilanNews) also reported that Tanganga’s agents will be in Milano today and it’s possible that a meeting could take place between the parties to discuss the matter.
