Repubblica: Morata one of the names as Milan continue centre-forward pursuit

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are looking to sign a striker this summer and have identified several targets for the positions. In fact, they could make a move for the former Juventus man Alvaro Morata, a report claims.

Olivier Giroud has been the only consistent performer for Milan this season and even he has struggled with the goalscoring at times. Therefore, the Rossoneri are looking to reinforce that position with a proven striker this summer.

According to La Repubblica, as cited by MilanNews, the former Juventus man Alvaro Morata has been linked with the club before and could come back into fashion. He currently plays for Atletico Madrid but could leave this summer, as his contract will expire in 2024.

This season, Morata has featured in every league game for the Madrid side, finding the back of the net 13 times. Not spectacular numbers, but the 30-year-old at least has experience from Serie A and Milan will keep him as an option.

By the looks of it, however, he’s not the main target for Milan in attack.
