AC Milan are soon expected to extend the contract of head coach Stefano Pioli putting to an end whispers of interest from Juventus, a report claims.
According to what Repubblica (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, there have been some ‘rumours’ circulating in recent days about possible interest from Juventus in making Stefano Pioli their new head coach given the struggles of Max Allegri.
However, the paper states that this seems to be a rather unlikely scenario given his renewal with Milan now seems obvious and should all be made official in the coming weeks.
Pioli has now been with the Rossoneri for over three years and it has been a very positive journey for all parties as he took a young team back into the Champions League and then went a step further by capturing a first Scudetto in 11 years last season, but there are still boxes to tick such as reaching the Champions League knockouts.
If Pioli go to Juventus, it will be a big blow for Milan.
