Repubblica: Rangnick could poach two key men from RB Leipzig to begin Milan revolution

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick could reportedly bring some familiar faces with him when he takes the job as head coach and sporting director of AC Milan.

Speculation is rife in both the Italian media and elsewhere in Europe that the current Red Bull Head of Football Operations is set to undertake a new project this summer with the Rossoneri, having been personally chosen by Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Zvonimir Boban will depart the club imminently after comments he made suggesting that Gazidis went behind the backs of he and Paolo Maldini when initiating contacts with Rangnick.

Attention has already turned to what Rangnick’s new Milan may look like, and Tuttosport reported on Tuesday that there is already a structure ready to take over.

According to Wednesday’s edition of La Repubblica meanwhile (via MilanNews), among the candidates to assist the German on the technical side are Lars Kornetka and Moritz Volz.

The latter is currently an assistant coach to Julian Nagelsmann at RB Leipzig, while the former is also down as an assistant manager and video analyst for the Bundesliga side on transfermarkt.
