Repubblica: Rangnick to take charge of three areas at Milan in unprecedented role

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will appoint Ralf Rangnick to take charge of three different areas of the club once the season ends, a report claims.

Rangnick’s arrival at Milan is one of the worst kept secrets in Italian football at the moment, with virtually every source now agreeing that the Rossoneri will welcome the German ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

There has however been some confusion regarding the role or roles that he will take up, though we reported via our correspondent Vito Angele that Rangnick will indeed agree a role as manager – that is the double responsibility of head coach and the man in charge of the transfer market.

According to what newspaper La Repubblica are reporting in their Wednesday edition (via MilanNews), the 62-year-old will arrive and take up a triple role – something unprecedented in Italian football.

He will be the head coach of Milan, the market manager and supervisor of the medical and physiotherapy sector.
