AC Milan are one of three teams currently following Racing Strasbourg player Mohamed Simakan, according to a report.
It was claimed over the weekend by L’Equipe (via GFNF) that Milan are still interested in Simakan, who has played the first three games of the season from start and although his side has lost all of them, several clubs are interested in him.
It is no secret that Milan are in the market for a new centre-back given the current department is stretched, with Alessio Romagnoli and Mateo Musacchio both out injured plus the inexperienced due of Matteo Gabbia and Leo Duarte failing to offer the right assurances.
According to RMC Sport (via MilanLive), the 20-year-old is one of the options to strengthen the Milan rearguard as the Rossoneri are among the clubs interested in the Strasbourg starlet, but they are not the only ones.
Simakan is also being followed by Atalanta and Stade Rennais, and it is the latter who have taken concrete steps and opened negotiations with Strasbourg, who are currently asking for €20million.
