Roma vs. AC Milan: Live updates and commentary from the Serie A clash

It ends 1-1 after an entertaining game, or at least a neutral would describe it that way. From Milan’s point of view, they did well to snatch a point from this one with another decent second-half display, but they still have a lot to improve.

All things considered, a draw was a fair result.

Roma 1-1 Milan

Sadly, that’s horrendous defending from Bartesaghi. He was letting the cross go despite Celik being there, and the Roma full-back’s cross hit the arm.

Not sure what happened there, the referee felt he was time-wasting/holding up the play.

Off: Leao, Nkunku.

Great goal! Modric takes the corner short to Bartesaghi, gets the ball back and finds De Winter in the box with a lovely cross. From that distance, the centre-back couldn’t make any mistakes with the finish.

Roma 0-1 Milan

Yep. As expected, Kone is forced to leave the pitch due to an injury and Pisilli comes on to replace him. Big difference between the two, no doubt.

Kone is down for Roma and it seems to be serious. It would be a huge blow for the Giallorossi if he can’t continue.

That’s so unnecessary from the youngster. He definitely had space and time to make up for the distance with Wesley, but instead decided to drag him down.

He was going for the ball and it seemed like he hit it as well, but goalkeepers are always very protected by the referees. I guess Svilar did have both hands on the ball just before.

Rabiot forces Svilar to a good save! Really nice work by Bartesaghi there to set the whole thing up.

Hopefully, we will see another strong second-half performance from Milan, because the first half clearly wasn’t good enough.

Roma have been the better side, without a doubt, having most of their possession inside Milan’s half. They have also created quite a lot of chances, and perhaps should have taken the lead through Malen. Nice work by Maignan too.

Talk about a reflex save from the goalkeeper! Celik with the effort from Roma and given the speed, that looked like a certain goal.

Saelemaekers has clearly been struggling to cope with the pressure of the Roma fans, making several mistakes. The most recent one could have been very costly, giving the ball away inside Milan’s penalty box.

The game has calmed down a little bit, it has to be said. Not too dissimilar to the reverse fixture, when Roma dominated the first part too.

Malen fires wide from a great position! That should have been a goal for Roma. Not good enough defensively from Milan.

Roma have taken over more and more. They have also been rather successful at breaking down Milan’s defence, which is worrying.
