Romagnoli’s condition even more important amid absence of Florenzi – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Alessandro Florenzi will undergo surgery in Rome tomorrow and some have pointed out that Davide Calabria now is the only right-back available. That isn’t quite true, but it depends on Alessio Romagnoli.

The captain missed out on yesterday’s clash between AC Milan and Bologna due to an inflammation of his adductor. During today’s training session at Milanello, Romagnoli carried out an individual program, as per MilanNews.

The condition of the defender holds more relevance now as having him available means Stefano Pioli has the option to play Pierre Kalulu at right-back. The youngster has done a tremendous job alongside Fikayo Tomori but he started out on the right-hand side.

In other words, the return of Romagnoli would give Pioli another option for the right-back role, which might be needed in this hectic season finale. The Rossoneri are hoping that Alessandro Florenzi can be back for the final two games, but it’s not certain.

    1. if necessary slide Kalulu over and put Romo at his familiar CB, least of Pioli’s worrys, cannot get 3 points if you do not score
