Romano: AC Milan were offered chance to sign Dalian Yifang winger – the response

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan were offered the chance to sign Yannick Carrasco on loan as cover for the outgoing Suso but decided against the idea, a report claims.

It was confirmed on Wednesday evening that Suso will join LaLiga side Sevilla on an 18-month loan with an option to buy, which will turn into an obligation if certain conditions are met throughout the course of the loan.

Milan have agreed a deal with Anderlecht to sign wide man Alexis Saelemaekers as his replacement according to widespread reports, however according to Calciomercato.com’s Fabrizio Romano it could have been a different situation entirely.

He claims that Yannick Carrasco was one step away from joining Inter a year ago and now he will return to Atlético Madrid, who are closing the operation.

Romano also adds though that in the last few days Carrasco was also offered to Milan on a six-month loan to replace Suso. However, the Rossoneri management did not like the idea of paying his €11m salary for six months having already done the Ibrahimovic operation.
