Romano: Camarda set to sign extension with Milan – the road ahead

By Ben Dixon -

Francesco Camarda’s future has been a nervy topic for AC Milan, and even if they have been confident about the situation, there has been some worry from supporters about the youngster’s future at the club.

The 16-year-old is one of several Primavera talents that will, hopefully, have a bright future for Milan’s senior side, and it could be fair to suggest that the youngster may be the cream of the crop.

A born goalscorer who has demolished several records at the youth level and has already broken a record at the senior level for the youngest Serie A appearance.

It is clear that there is talent there, and other clubs know about this, which is why several of Europe’s elites have attempted to pry him from the Rossoneri’s hands at points this season. However, he will sign a new deal with the club.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano on his X account, the youngster has decided to stay at the club, and new contacts will be made in the next few days to complete the agreement and sign the deal. Given the talent that the striker possesses, this is huge news for the football club, for now and in the future.

    1. Why is it his job to develop a 16 yo primavera player? Pretty sure thats the job for the primavera coach

      1. Dollaruma was 16 when he’s introduced at the first team and was the part of first team ever since. Maybe ‘develop’ in the sense that giving the players the chance needed here and there on the 1st team.

        1. siniša came and played dollar over diego lopez (which was crazy) and before that i think the only teen that got regular gametime was Pato. before that blank.. so no playing a 16yo now and then is not development at all. he is better of playing with guys his age. his body is still maturing

        2. Easier for a over 190cm-tall kid in goal to start playing when people can’t tackle him. Could you imagine a 190cm-centerback tackling the sixtysomething kg Camarda when he’s dribbling? The kid could get seriously hurt.

He’s not ready to play with adults.

          1. from what i could find about his weight is that he weighs 178 lbs roughly translating to 80.7 kgs.
I had roughly the same height as he at the same age at 1.83 and he is 1.84 m tall. Back when i was 16 i weighed 78 kgs which was probably due to me doing 200 situps and 200 push ups each morning and evening + training maybe 20 hours a week. Seems fitting from what i can judge and his trainers are at least pros so its safe to assume that it is correct.

      2. what thing that make Yamal/ Moukoko better than Camarda?
i doesn’t mean he has to play every week from 1st minute.

      3. Dude you thinking just like alegri in juve. Alegri feel all young player that dont have experience minimum 2 years playing time cannot play for first team in juve and the choice are just go on loan for 2 years or develop under primavera coach. Old and outdated coach thinking. Camarda no need to start every game at senior squad but just insert him 5-10 min as super sub and let him training with senior team, you can also start him in no pressure game like coppa italia . Look at xavi did in barca ,he give playing time little by little to their 16-18 years player from la masia.

  1. As it was said before, the media tried to create another false crises at Milan, that the kid and Milan are waiting for June when they can sign a 3 year contract instead of just a 2 year contract.
Hopefully he continues to develop and one day we can see him scoring goals for the 1st team.

  2. Start incorporating this player into the first team. Same with Bartesaghi and Simic.
Bring in a couple of seasoned professionals with a half decent price tag to guide them.
