AC Milan are getting closer to an agreement over the renewal of Rafael Leao but there is nothing completed yet, according to a report.
According to a report from Fabrizio Romano on CaughtOffside, it seems as though Chelsea have cooled their interest in Leao and Manchester City ‘were never in the race’ to land the Portuguese winger.
Instead, Romano adds that the former Lille man is ‘very happy at Milan’ and that an agreement ‘is very close but not completed or signed yet’, meaning that there is still work to be done between the parties.
The journalist mentions that we ‘have to wait and see at the end of the season’, which is perhaps an implication that qualification for the next edition of the Champions League could be decisive.
Leao has been on fire since the start of April with seven goal contributions in seven games, helping the Rossoneri to the Champions League semi-finals where they will meet Inter.
Lets wait until summer market open . If he still wasting time give false hope to AC Milan until summer market close then lets consider him go free transfer at 2024. But i do hope he renew after serie A ended
