Romano: Milan on the verge of signing 16-year-old attacking midfielder

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are not just making signings for the first team but also the Primavera this summer. After the arrival of Alex Jimenex from Real Madrid, the Rossoneri are now closing in on a 16-year-old midfielder, a report claims.

Milan recently announced the arrival of Jimenez from Real Madrid on an initial loan deal, securing one of the Bernabeu side’s ‘one of Real Madrid’s top talents’ as described by The Athletic. Now they are closing in on another deal for the Primavera.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Polish talent Mateusz Skoczylas is just one step away from joining the club, set to sign next week. He plays as an attacking midfielder and will arrive from Zaglebie Lubin. He has also made 15 appearances for Poland’s U17 side and netted three goals in the process.

It remains to be seen if he will play for the Primavera side or the U18 side. In any case, Milan are continuing their philosophy of signing talented players early, thus keeping the price tags down.
