Ralf Rangnick could yet arrive at AC Milan before the end of the current season and replace Stefano Pioli, a reporter has claimed.
We reported via our correspondent Vito Angele last month that Rangnick will indeed agree a role as manager – that is the double responsibility of head coach and the man in charge of the transfer market.
According to Simone Cristao of Radio Rossonera on Twitter, the chances of Rangnick joining Milan this month – i.e. before the end of the season – are increasing.
The German has no problems starting as soon as possible, while the Rossoneri are reflecting as they know they are at risk of creating internal management problems given the uncertainties surrounding the roles of Ricky Massara, Paolo Maldini and Pioli.
An early arrive would allow Rangnick to get to work immediately in trying to implement his philosophy, something which could be crucial given there is a shorter preseason this year ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
