RR: Kaio Jorge rejects €10m MLS move in favour of Milan – Portuguese passport being explored

By Oliver Fisher -

The Kaio Jorge story continues to develop and it has now emerged that Santos reportedly accepted an offer from a Major League Soccer club.

According to the latest update from Radio Rossonera on the future of the 19-year-old striker, Santos had accepted an offer of €10m from an MLS team, however Kaio Jorge refused the idea of a move to American because he only wants to move to Europe and specifically Milan.

The latest offer from the Rossoneri management remains on the table at €4m plus €2m in potential bonuses, and that is a fee that would be payable over several years. Not only that, but they are also working to understand if there are any loopholes that could see Jorge get a Portuguese passport.

The implication of this is that if the teenager were to secure a Portuguese passport, then Milan would not have to use a non-EU slot in order to bring him to Italy.
