RR: Milan will submit a final bid for No.1 defensive target on Monday – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will soon submit a final bid to try and buy central defender Wesley Fofana from Saint-Etienne, according to a report.

During the interview he gave to the media prior to the win over Crotone on Sunday, sporting director Ricky Massara said the management will be ready if there are the right opportunities.

MilanNews are reporting that the ‘opportunity’ could be Wesley Fofana, as the 19-year-old has been the subject dozens of positive reports from the Milan scouts, co-ordinated by Geoffrey Moncada, and they believe he could be a starter for at least 10 years.

According to Simone Cristao of Radio Rossonera, Milan will submit a final offer to sign Fofana from Saint-Etienne, and they will make a bid on the basis of a paid loan with obligation to buy.

If this offer were to be rejected then there are alternatives in mind including Matija Nastasic of Schalke.
