The future of Alexis Saelemaekers is yet to be decided, and he is waiting for a call from the new management at AC Milan.
Saelemaekers had a very positive second half of the season at Roma under Claudio Ranieri, making a return seem unlikely. Most of the chatter was about the loan becoming permanent, regardless of what happened with Tammy Abraham.

However, with Roma unable to negotiate a deal with Igli Tare for the Belgian’s purchase, there is a chance he could play for Milan next season.
Saelemaekers unsure
As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress) write this morning, Saelemaekers will return to Milan as things stand but he does not know whether to unpack his suitcases or not. He spoke about his future yesterday without giving a precise indication, because he still doesn’t know.
Roma would have liked to keep him but do not want to spend more than €10m, while the Rossoneri are asking for at least double. There is interest from Eintracht Frankfurt , but the option of him remaining at Milan remains.
To have any certainties, according to the Roman newspaper, we will therefore have to wait until the new head coach Massimiliano Allegri evaluates him in the preseason preparations.
Keep him here, with Walker going back we can’t depend on Emerson Royal. We need the Saladmaker now more than ever.
He’s a wingback not a fullback, also walker would be a terrible choice. He relies on his pace to much(doesnt have anymore).
He can play fullback in a 4-2-3-1, and has if you haven’t been around, on multiple occasions. Also who said anything about Walker returning, he’s gone for a reason.
Misread your coment on walker thats my bad. He has played as a fullback but not very good. He’s played better in a more attacking role ie.wingback, right mid, and winger.
“Roma offer 10mil”… Well we all know where they can shove that… Allegri loves these types of players – he’s staying.
10M€. So… Now even Roma-fans are “embarrassed by the low-balling, pathetic offer”, eh? 😀 😀 😀

Just like I said during the Fofana-negotiations last year: No one gives a f***. If Liverpool/Real/Barca/Milan makes an “embarrassing low-balling offer” the fans of other clubs couldn’t care less. And why should they? What matters is the deals that go through.
The problem with lowball offers is that they drag a deal which otherwise could be done quickly.
Basically we can the player in a week or 2 but instead it takes up to 2 monthes because of a very low first offer.
Fofana missed the entire summer preparation and the first game, came out of shape because he also didn’t train with AS Monaco and in the end we ended up paying the full price.
Say that to the crying Roma fans who are devastated because how their managed is acting. 🙂
