The focus has mainly been on sales during the first part of the summer transfer window, but it has produced a ‘treasure’ for AC Milan to spend.
As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) write this morning, with the exception of the Luka Modric deal – which will only be completed after the Club World Cup – in these 10 eventful days of the short June transfer window, Milan have mainly focused on sales.

There has been the departure of Marco Pellegrino, who has become a new Boca Juniors player, and then of course the sale of Tijjani Reijnders, made official yesterday by Manchester City for a potential club-record fee.
The imminent deal for Yunus Musah, who is ready to join Antonio Conte at Napoli, will add another amount to the pot of proceeds.

Tare’s budget boosted
By selling these three players, Milan immediately addressed the lack of revenue from qualifying for the Champions League, while at the same time collecting a rather substantial treasure to reinvest in this mercato to strengthen Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
It is no coincidence that this morning the paper even speaks of a sum close to, if not even higher than, €90m that sporting director Igli Tare will have available.
Now, the former Lazio director will have to manage that budget in the best possible way to allow Milan to immediately return to being competitive, at least in Italy. There is the possibility of further exits to boost the budget even more, too.

Ricci 25M
Wieffer 28M
Leoni 10-15M
Lucumi 15-20M
Modric **free agent
Zappacosta **free agent
Chiesa on loan + option
LB, CB, CAM, ST left…
Wouldnt spend 28m on Wieffer now.
Giménez will do well as striker. Need a back up.
Leoni and Ricci? One is sufficient. Leoni unproven Jupiler League player, too old to explode.
Lucumi is solid and cheap enough. Still think Pavlovic and Gabbia is strong enough. Need GK to replace Maignan. Need LW to replace Leao if he leaves.
Bartesaghi might not cut it at LB and Zappacosta is too slow.
Maignan
(Signing) Gabbia Pavlovic (Signing)
Fofana Ricci
Pulisic. Modric. Leao/Signing
Gimenez
Idk but this team will look totally different next season
Gimenez doesn’t need a “Back Up”…he needs a competition. He needs a serious competition to go with him neck to neck cos he can’t be trusted 100% yet. I’m really hoping Allegri can convince Vlahovic to come. We need a powerful striker like him.
Ain’t nobody bringing Zappacosta to my club. He’s a terrible player
So slow, got burned against that kid on Norway. Mind-blowing he started for Nazionale.
Modic
Kante
Tonali (if possible)
Cambiasso
Califiori
I would play Santi and grooom camadra, but let’s assume we want a striker I would go for greenwood from marseille.
This is team would dominate Seria A
Fantasy football.
Watch Allegri spend it on Lucca, Rabiot and Sule
God I hope not
Agree except for Lucca, I think he could be a good striker. even if not at Milan
I just hope we spend it on 30+ year old players because I am not happy with signing Modric who is 40yrs old.
I don’t get why Milan or any team in Europe would sign players of this age.
PSG has new policy of not signing a players passed age 26. They won the UCL with a young group of players who have the desire to win and they play like a team.
I am a bit disappointed with the players we are linked with. No to Rabiot, Modric, Xhaka, Sule etc. there are better options out there.
It would make more sense to signing a player like Milan Skriniar for the defense if we want someone with experience since Thiaw and Pavlovic are young players. But Modric at 40yrs old? Smh
Correction to typo: I just hope we DONT spend it on 30+ year old players.
We need some 30+ year old players. The absence of Zlatan, Giroud and Kjaer showed greatly last season. It’s not wise to have only young players in the squad.
Exactly……experience is something Italans don’t joke with .A squad needs a mix of youthfulness and experience
One or two might be sensible. To establish a good culture in the squad. I do agree though, but a rebuild of this squad takes years. Milan fans expect results every season. To achieve this you have to buy seasoned soldiers
Please don’t bring up PSG who have unlimited money and no FFP.
Milan is about to lose 4 best players in Theo, Mike, Tijjani (already sold) , and Leao and he only gets 90?
Even with them Milan was still weak.
Milan should always in a position to upgrade the team, not chopping around and build a totally new squad each years.
This management is clueless. Just sell the club FFS.
That’s because Elliott isn’t interested in winning anything. Just selling at a profit. There’s no actual sporting project.
Kubo, Rodrygo. Lucca. Orsolini, Disasi
Only you talk sense, till serie a start signing quality young players, this league ain’t adding a ucl
That’s assuming Furlani makes all the funds from the sales available to reinvest into the squad. That’s a big leap of faith.
