Mediaset: Sampdoria to try and agree January loan for Milan midfielder

By Euan Burns -

Serie A side Sampdoria are ready to try and sign AC Milan midfielder Yacine Adli on loan in the January transfer window which is soon to get underway, a report claims.

As has been reported Sport Mediaset (via Calciomercato.com), the French midfielder is expected to leave the club on loan in January so that he can play more regular first-team football.

Considering Sampdoria have been one of the worst sides in Serie A this season, sitting in 19th place with six points, it is expected that Adli would be able to get a lot more minutes than he has been enjoying under Stefano Pioli so far this season.

He joined the club from Bordeaux but was immediately loaned back to the French side for the 2021/22 campaign. The side were relegated to Ligue 2 that year.

Since fully arriving at Milan, he has been limited predominantly to substitute appearances and there are fears that his development is stalling.

  1. As it seems Pioli has no plans on giving him any minutes, then the best thing for everyone is to send him out on loan (WITHOUT the option to buy).
