Report: Sampdoria in talks with Milan over defender and midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

Sampdoria are interested in signing two players from AC Milan and could soon accelerate their pursuit, a report claims.

According to a report from ClubDoria46, Sampdoria have had an agreement for weeks with Matteo Gabbia and also with the Rossoneri for weeks. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are convinced that Sampdoria are the right option for him to find the playing time he cannot get at Milan, but he would be a dry loan.

However, the report adds that Tiemouè Bakayoko is another target for Samp. The French midfielder is in his second year of a two-year loan from Chelsea and Stefano Pioli is not fully convinced by him, which is why Maldini and Massara are looking for another midfielder on the market.

Sampdoria asked for information, but the salary is an obstacle that must be overcome. The idea also appeals to the Rossoneri management who will first make a last attempt with Chelsea to try to cancel the loan.

  1. Love it, absolutely no faith in gabbia who has had maybe 1 bad game his entire time here and is our own product. But 100% faith in some foreign guy who was a flop so far at psg and Tottenham respectively…. awesome. Actually it’s disgusting.

    1. bro… why dont you look at it as they are trying to give him space and time to develop to come back better and stronger? he needs playing time, no?

    2. LOL. Dude Gabbia is not Milan material. Need to get over that. He’s average and not showing much of any real improvement in quality. He’s literally the 5th choice CB.
These canidadates are whatever but Milan fans need to face the fact that majority of our academy has produced average players in recent times

      1. He need playing time at the highest level to improve. Sampdoria can provide that. Pobega and Locatelli thrives after a spell at Torino and Sassuolo. Let’s hope Gabia can improve at Sampdoria

  2. huge shame this 2years loan, as baka was already super bad in napoli, poor deciscion of M&M very very poor and now they get the bill presented as they chelsea said no to quite the loan. But he costs just 3mio nett LOL rest is covering chelsea – youth way!! 😉

  3. I don’t know how things would work with Bakayoko, but I wish Sampdoria wanted Saelemaekers. Even on loan , Salad needs to get away from Milan. If he preforms at Sampdoria maybe he turned the corner if not get rid of him.
