Scaroni insists new stadium ‘will be built’ and highlights crucial ‘cohesion’ of Milan

On the pitch, Milan are focused on securing their first Scudetto since 2010/11. Off the pitch, talks are ongoing for the takeover of Investcorp and the stadium project is heavily linked to that, on which a new update has arrived.

The Rossoneri are close to the Scudetto as with just three games remaining, they are two points ahead of city rivals Inter. A lot can still happen in this season finale, there is no doubt about that, but Stefano Pioli’s men have it all in their hands.

Speaking to Stasera Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Milan president Paolo Scaroni shared an update on the stadium project. It seems to be taking forever, but he reiterated that it will be built. He also shared an update on the team.

“The new stadium will be built and we hope it will be soon. Today, I was at Milanello and I saw players in great shape. There is always that spirit of cohesion that has put us first in the standings, we are excited for the next three games and also confident,” he stated.

We can only hope that Milan will come away with all three points from the game against Hellas Verona. They can afford to draw one of the last two games, but it’s clear that they would like to ‘save’ the draw for as long as possible.
