Schira: Florenzi’s future with Milan remains in doubt – youngster ready for loan

By Isak Möller -

Alessandro Florenzi has been linked with an exit ever since Paulo Fonseca was announced as the new manager. Despite a calm period rumours-wise recently, and the goal in the friendly last night, his future remains in doubt.

Florenzi played in the second half of Milan’s game against Rapid Wien yesterday and opened the scoring with a nice finish inside the box. He was one of the better players on the pitch and certainly sent a signal to Fonseca, with whom he didn’t have the best relationship at Roma.

According to Nico Schira, despite the goal, Florenzi’s future with the club remains in doubt and he could still leave this summer. His contract will expire in 2025 and although he wouldn’t fetch a huge amount, this is something to consider.

In other news, as the journalist continues, the Milan youngster Marco Nasti is ready to move on loan again after spending last season at Bari. The latter, Carrarese, Frosinone, Reggiana and Verona have all expressed an interest and the Rossoneri will decide in the coming days.

It remains to be seen what will happen, but it’s clear that Milan are very active on the outgoing front as well as the incoming one.

  1. If we aren’t getting a new RB I would keep Florenzi. He has one year left on his contract and can be good in the locker room.

  2. If Kalulu should make the shift back to RB, then our full back positions should be well chocked without departures.
