Over the years, many players have been offered to AC Milan, given the club’s prestigious stance in the football world. While some have been picked up, quite a few current stars also slipped through the net.
Since Elliott Management took over the club, and especially since the summer of 2019, Milan have made several clever low-cost signings. And it’s not only the work of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara but also head scout Geoffrey Moncada and his staff.
During Yonghong Li’s reign, Marco Fassone and Max Mirabelli were in charge of the sporting area and things worked a little differently back then. One of their advisors was the scout and former sporting director Danilo Pagni.
Speaking to TMW, as cited by MilanLive, Pagni revealed that he advised Milan to sign Hakim Ziyech back when he was at Ajax (prior to his big sale to Chelsea). He also stated that he advised the Rossoneri to take a look at current Man City star Jack Grealish.
“When I went to see Ajax, I sent the video to Fabio Liverani to discuss the player, he’s a friend and I also trust his judgment. Then someone [most likely Mirabelli] said he wasn’t worthy of Milan.
“I also liked Jack Grealish a lot. When I went to see Aston Villa I didn’t even get back to the hotel before I wrote to Milan, stating he must be signed immediately,” he stated.
Ziyech is old now compare to Saelemakers. And dont forget Sale baggs 2 time net at Champions League this year. So he have potential to be come valuable winger in next three years. Messias for his salary did excellent job.
Grealish – 16 matches – 1 goal.
Saelemakers – 9 matches – 2 goals and 1 assist.
Grealish cost Man City over €120M and his current value is estimated at €75M. Saelesmakers cost us €8M and is valued at over €18M.
Grealish’s value at 23 years old (Saelesmaker’s current age) was €20M as well, so I’d take the investment into our RW that you don’t have to spend a lot of money for someone just because. Good coaching/system can unlock talent and help these players succeed (see – Theo, Leao, Tomori, Kalulu, etc)
This scout is useless, he recommended two players who have been utter garbage for their current clubs.

From maxwell,for me ,judging from the performances of ac milan players in the last four or five matches I will suggest that the following players be sanctioned for the exit come January
(1) Ante Rebic
2 Raphael leao
3) CDK
4) Divok origi
5) Ballo Toure , these players are not worthy of putting on the milan jersey

Milan had Suso and Castillejo as RWers in 2017-18 and people in the comments section are calling the scout that recommended Ziyech and Grealish to Mirabelli
useless.
BTW Castillejo cost Milan 21 mil plus Carlos Bacca.
While Ziyech and Grealish became so good that teams like Chelsea and City paid 40 mil and 100 mil to buy them.
And even though Ziyech and Grealish haven’t been impressive with their current clubs, if they played in Italy they’d be among the best players in the league.
People forget that Chelsea 5th or 6th choice CB is our starter and among the best defenders in serie A.
And their 3rd choice striker is our striker and one of the best players on the team.
