Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone spoke about the potential sale of Angel Correa, who has been linked with AC Milan for several weeks now, though negotiations have failed to advance.
“The fact that the market remains open is inconvenient for everyone. Correa? It’s a complex situation. I already knew that he wouldn’t play the first two games, but he’s always trained in a fantastic way,” he began.
The Argentine striker reportedly wants to join the Rossoneri, and is pushing for the move to materialize. However, the clubs have failed to reach an agreement on the transfer fee, as Atletico are asking for €55m.
“Now, the club will have to make a decision that is based on what is best for all parties. What do I want? I want everybody, and that includes Correa,” he concluded.
Next week, Boban is expected to travel to Madrid in an attempt to unlock the negotiations, perhaps raising Milan’s offer slightly to get closer to the demands.
