Sky: AC Milan eye Ligue 1 starlet in search of a new centre-back

By Isak Möller -

As Leo Duarte is suffering from a serious injury, ruling him out for the near future, AC Milan will be looking to bring in a centre-back in January. By the looks of it, they have narrowed down their search to a few players.

According to Sky Italia’s Emanuele Baiocchini, who spoke on air about the Rossoneri’s situation (via MilanNews.it), Jean-Clair Todibo and Wesley Fofana are two names on their wish list.

The Barcelona youngster has been linked with Milan in the last few weeks, but Fofana hasn’t been mentioned until now. The 19-year-old is being evaluated by Boban and Maldini, per the reporter, although West Ham and Newcastle are also interested.

Saint-Etienne, who own the player, are not too keen on selling him in January. As the reporter states, they would like to wait until the summer, as the price tag could increase until then. It remains to be seen if Milan will make a move next month.
