Sky: AZ Alkmaar ask for 24 hours to decide as Milan raise Reijnders bid

AC Milan are serious about signing Tijjani Reijnders and have put forward a new and improved offer, according to a report.

According to the latest from Sky, Milan have identified Reijnders as the midfielder that they want to sign to try and rebuild the department after Sandro Tonali’s sale and with Ismael Bennacer out for some time.

After the first proposal of €16m plus bonuses was rejected by AZ Alkmaar, the Rossoneri went in again yesterday with an offer of €19m as a fixed amount plus €4m in bonuses.

This obviously surpasses the previous bid by €3m and is a sign of how much Milan want to try and get the signing done quickly. The Dutch club asked for 24 hours to decide whether or not to accept this latest offer.

Last season Reijnders mostly played as a box-to-box midfielder and he racked up 8 goals and 11 assists across all competitions, earning the crown of being AZ Alkmaar’s player of the season.
