Sky: Bundesliga giants Dortmund interested in Milan full-back

By Oliver Fisher -

Borussia Dortmund are interested in the idea of signing full-back Ricardo Rodriguez from AC Milan, according to a report.

Theo Hernandez’s arrival for €20m from Real Madrid over the summer seems to have ousted Rodriguez from the starting XI, leading to speculation over his future.

Swiss-German language outlet Blick recently reported that the Switzerland international is ‘unsettled’ with five clubs monitoring his situation.

Atletico Madrid, Schalke, Dortmund, Everton and Roma are the clubs in question, and Rodriguez then hinted that he doesn’t intend to remain on the bench for long.

“Just because I have not played in the last three games, that does not mean anything,” he told Swiss outlet AZ.

“Everything can always change. I can not tell you how my career will continue. But I can say that I am a player who always wants to play.”

According to Sky Sport – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Dortmund are indeed interested in the idea of bringing Rodriguez back to the Bundesliga.

The 27-year-old joined Milan in 2017 from Wolfsburg and has made 92 appearances in all competitions.
