Sky: Calabria could be rested against Empoli as he is not 100% – Pioli’s solution

By Oliver Fisher -

It seems as though there will be yet another change for Stefano Pioli to make for tomorrow’s trip to face Empoli as Davide Calabria is not at 100%.

According to Sky (via MilanNews), Calabria is not yet back to his best after the muscle problem he sustained in the last match against Napoli that forced him to be replace at the half-time interval, despite the fact he has done all training sessions this week.

Pierre Kalulu could therefore play as a right-back, who would be preferred to Sergino Dest because of the fact he only returned yesterday from his commitments with the USA national team meaning he has not had as much time to prepare for the game.

With the Frenchman on the right side of the defence, that would mean that the two centre-backs would be Simon Kjaer – who appears to be ok after the ankle problem he suffered while away with Denmark – and Fikayo Tomori.
