Mattia Caldara has faced yet another setback. After having been out for several months with multiple injuries, the defender will miss an additional 5-6 months due to a torn ACL.
The Italian arrived from Juventus last summer, but has barely been able to play for his new side, starting only two games. The latest came recently, namely against Lazio, and Caldara performed really well.
However, as if the previous injuries weren’t enough, he has now torn his ACL. As reported by Sky Italia, Caldara left today’s training session at Milanello on crutches, as a knee problem was identified.
After closer investigation, the doctors came to the conclusion that the ACL was torn, and the player is already in Roma to undergo surgery at Villa Stuart. The recovery time will be 5-6 months for the former Atalanta man.
