Sky: Conte ‘a huge fan’ of expiring Milan star as Spurs could make January attempt

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie’s contract will expire in the summer and AC Milan are yet to reach an agreement with him over a renewal. As a result, several clubs are interested in the midfielder’s services, including Tottenham.

The Ivorian is currently on international duty at the AFCONs and he actually scored in his side’s win over Algeria earlier today. He’s an important player for the national team and the same can be said for Milan, which is why losing him for free would be a blow.

There might be a way for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to make the most of his potential departure, though, as reported by Sky UK’s Lyall Thomas. In fact, Tottenham are interested in making a move for Kessie this month.

Antonio Conte is ‘a huge fan’ of Kessie, per the report, and talks have already taken place over a summer move. It appears Spurs could fast-track the signing by making an offer for Milan now, a solution the latter might accept given the situation.
