AC Milan are ‘unlikely’ to sign Angel Correa from Atletico Madrid as things stand, according to one journalist.
The Argentine is understood to be the primary target for Milan, with personal terms having already been agreed with the player but not a fee with Atleti at present.
The Rossoneri have added five players this summer already in Theo Hernandez, Rade Krunic, Rafael Leao, Ismael Bennacer and most recently Leo Duarte, but a new forward is understood to be on the agenda.
It was reported by MilanNews.it earlier on Thursday that Milan are in no rush as things stand to go all-out for Correa, but that a sale of Suso – to Lyon or Roma – would change things.
The Argentine is beginning to ‘force his hand’ to try and leave the Rojiblancos and move to the San Siro, however it now seems that nothing is guaranteed.
Manuele Baiocchini of Sky Italia has given his take on the situation, suggesting a deal is far from complete.
“Talks are stalled. Milan currently have Leao and Suso who occupy the roles that Correa could potentially take at Milan,” he told Sky.
“Milan like him but they are relaxed. Correa is a leader and he wants Milan. Let’s wait and see.”
