Per Sky Italia and Rai Sport, AC Milan youngster Patrick Cutrone was forced to a substitution during Italy’s U-21 game against Albania, following a knock to his ankle.
Initially, the young striker didn’t want to exit the game to make way for Alberto Cerri, but after Di Biagio convinced him to step off, he was on the bench icing his ankle. The severity of his injury is unknown and will be assessed in the next few hours to see how bad it is.
It is unknown if he will be available for Milan’s game this weekend against Cagliari, but the Rossoneri’s medical staff will evaluate the situation.
UPDATE: Di Marzio claims that the knock is nothing serious, and Cutrone will be available for the game against Cagliari.
