Sky: Gasperini set to resort to first choice XI in bid to make history against Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

The choices that Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini is likely to make ahead of Sunday’s game against Milan are beginning to filter, it is claimed.

Speaking to the microphones of Sky Italia (via MilanNews), journalist Massimiliano Nebuloni spoke of the doubts about the starting line-up that Atalanta could deploy. He confirmed that Atalanta want to seal second place which would be their highest ever finish as a club, knowing a win against their rivals the Rossoneri would secure it, though Pioli’s men are battling for top four.

The big doubts for Gasperini are in defence. Djimsiti should come back in at centre-back in place of Palomino while up front Luis Muriel should return with Duvan Zapata with Ruslan Malinovskyi behind him. Muriel is ahead of them Josip Ilicic for what he has done throughout the season, even if the Slovenian played a great match in the first game against Milan this season.
