Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to start next weekend’s derby against Inter, a report claims, but the return of Ante Rebic remains in question.
After having missed the last four games in all competitions due to COVID, it was announced on Friday that Ibrahimovic has indeed tested negative twice and could return to training, which he did on Sunday morning.
According to the latest from Sky Italia (via Twitter), everything points towards the 39-year-old starting against Inter in just less than a week’s time, in a fixture he scored in earlier this year.
However, doubts remain about the presence of Ante Rebic. The Croatia international dislocated his elbow during the 2-0 win over Crotone last month and has been out since, with new tests on the injury expected during the week.
The positive is that as soon as his arm has healed, he should be able to return to action pretty much straight away.
