Sky: Ibrahimovic returns on flight from Miami and heads straight to Milanello

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back in Italy having returned from his vacation over the festive period and he was at this morning’s training session at Milanello, a report claims.

In the days between Christmas and New Year there was a lot of talk about Ibrahimovic’s trip to Miami, where he was seen meeting fans and attempting bicycle kicks on the beach while the team suffered a difficult moment.

He missed the last two games that Milan played; the 1-0 victory against Sassuolo in the league and the 4-1 win against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia.

As head coach Stefano Pioli also confirmed, the Swede was in the United States by virtue of some commitments made prior to his appointment as a RedBird advisor.

As reported by Peppe Di Stefano on Sky (via MilanNews), Zlatan landed at Malpensa this morning having returned on a flight from Miami and wasted no time, immediately heading to the training ground.

Milanello is not far from the airport, so he went there to follow the session from sidelines alongside technical director Geoffrey Moncada, who will of course be looking to do some January business.

Whether or not the 41-year-old will be at Sunday’s game against Empoli remains to be confirmed, though his return suggests his presence is likely.
