Sky: Inter dealt blow as forward will miss out on derby against Milan

By Isak Möller -

Just as it looked like Inter would be heading into the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan without any injuries, one has emerged. Joaquin Correa will miss out on the clash, a report claims.

Inter are the favourites to win tomorrow’s derby against Milan, given the latter’s recent form, but their superiority on paper has been dealt a minor blow. In fact, Joaquin Correa will not be available for the game.

According to Sky Italia, as cited by SempreMilan.it, Correa is struggling with a muscle strain in his right thigh and he will be evaluated by the medical staff in the coming days. Although he wasn’t expected to start, he could have been useful off the bench.

In 14 games against Milan, across his time at Sampdoria, Lazio and Inter, Correa has found the back of the net five times. His pace and skill could have been a threat to Milan and especially Simon Kjaer’s side of the defence.
