Sky: Inter could turn to Milan target after moving on from Lukaku

By Euan Burns -

Inter could now try and secure a deal for AC Milan target Alvaro Morata after they dramatically brought their Romelu Lukaku pursuit to a close, a report claims.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia (via Milan News), Inter are turning their attention to other strikers now that they have stopped negotiating for Romelu Lukaku’s return to the club on a permanent deal.

It now seems that he will be speaking exclusively with Juventus, but Inter only have Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa as strikers in the squad.

For that reason, Atletico Madrid’s Morata is now a target for Inter, a player that Milan have seemed very serious about signing.

As well as Morata, Spezia’s M’Bala Nzola, Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun and Porto’s Mehdi Taremi are also targets for the Nerazzurri. It will be an issue for Milan if they end up in a straight race with Inter for Morata.

  1. “but Inter only have Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa as strikers in the squad” (and Thuram)

And it still much better than having Giroud, Origi and Rebic.

  2. But come to think of it I won’t mind giving origi another chance if we cud sign good feeding wingers like leao and chukwueze

  3. “It will be an issue for Milan if they end up in a straight race with Inter for Morata.“ Why? We don’t want him. Let’s get Dia Beto Balogun Wahi etc instead.

  4. If we aren’t gonna get someone like Wahi, then we better allow Giroud to lead the line and we focus on CF in the next transfer season.

  5. Inter can have him; Milan needs someone better. Not a Thuram fan either; was glad we didn’t sign him. There are better strikers out there, and, so, we have options. With the way Milan is going, most of our targets want to come. So, it’s up to us to make good offers to get what we want. Inter is not in Milan’s way at all. It’s an open market.

  6. why is lukaku so controvercial, indecisive, and divisive in his iife, at this juncture of his career, is a pity.
inter gave him the affection no club gave, but in return is smear of betrayal – now burning bridges with all the major clubs he played for.
    well, i wish him well.

  7. Good to see Milan forcing Inter to abandon their main target in Lukako and now going after Morata haha kid club can easily be upset and defeated.
