Sky journalist hints that Man Utd could have inside track on ‘€60-70m’ Milan-linked winger

The Serie A clubs linked with Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa do not have the money to be able to pay the asking price, a journalist has claimed.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reported earlier on Tuesday that Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara are planning the summer market, and with Zlatan Ibrahimovic likely to stay it appears that a winger is now the priority.

Chiesa has apparently been picked out as the ideal profile for Milan as he is young, knows the league well, is versatile and still has ample room for growth.

The paper did add though that it won’t be easy to snatch him from Fiorentina who want €60m, and there have been links with Juventus and Manchester United, but Milan seem serious in their interest.

Sky Italia journalist Luca Marchetti spoke to TMW Radio (via MilanNews) about the situation surrounding the Fiorentina forward, and provided some interesting insight.

“If Fiorentina’s valuation is between 60 and 70 million euros, I think it is it is difficult for Chiesa to go to a big Italian club,” he said.
