Sky: Kessie considered irreplaceable by Milan but first renewal offer is not accepted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan want to try and secure the long-term future of midfielder Franck Kessie and have put forward a contract offer, according to a report.

Kessie was once again on top form for Milan during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Parma as he scored the goal to make it 2-0 not long before half-time, moving on to 10 Serie A goals for the season in the process.

According to the latest from Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Kessie is considered one of the irreplaceable players at Milan along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma. The club have proposed a renewal to the Ivorian at €3.5million per year, but the player does not appear to be satisfied.

Maldini and Massara intend to lock him up while paying attention to the accounts, as a conscious effort has been made to bring the wage budget down, but as mentioned Kessie is a player the team cannot do without.
