Ismael Bennacer participated in the first part of AC Milan’s training session at Milanello earlier today. The midfielder, who underwent surgery back in May, has been working hard in his recovery and the comeback is getting closer.
After the draw against Lecce on Saturday, Stefano Pioli decided to give the squad three days off and the players thus resumed training earlier today. A total of nine players are on international duty (read the list here), so it was a decimated squad in action.
According to Sky Italia, as cited by FMCR, Bennacer participated in the first part of Milan’s training and then continued with his individual program. Simon Kjaer and Christian Pulisic, meanwhile, only worked in the gym. As added by MilanNews, Davide Calabria and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also worked separately.
Bennacer should be back fully in mid-December, and this means he could make a few appearances for Milan before the AFCON with Algeria. The tournament will take place in January and the midfielder could also miss some of February, depending on how far his country will go.

The Algerian is taking things one step at a time, though, now fully focused on getting back into shape to feature for Milan. As we all know, his return will be a huge boost.
