Sky: Man Utd join hunt for ex-Liverpool midfielder; Milan also linked

By Oliver Fisher -

Manchester United have reportedly joined the race for Juventus midfielder Emre Can, who has been linked with a move to AC Milan.

Recently, a report from Calciomercato.it claimed that Milan directors Zvonomir Boban and Paolo Maldini are monitoring the situation surrounding two Juve players: namely Can and Daniele Rugani.

Il Corriere dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – even went as far as to claim that Can would be the ‘perfect signing’ for a Diavolo side in need of experience and leadership.

Can is struggling to find space under Bianconeri boss Maurizio Sarri having made just three Serie A appearances so far this season, leading to suggestions he could look for a move in January.

The Rossoneri are seemingly not alone in their interest though, as Sky Sports in the UK are claiming that Manchester United are interested in signing the German international.

The 25-year-old spent four seasons at Anfield but left last year in order to join Juventus, and is being considered as a target for January, the report concludes.
