Marco Pellegrino

Sky: Milan in talks with Anderlecht over possible loan for centre-back

AC Milan defender Marco Pellegrino is attracting interest from Anderlecht and the two clubs are in talk over a potential deal, according to a report.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky, Milan are continuing to work on the exits of some of their young players on loan and the latest to depart could be Pellegrino in the direction of the Jupiler Pro League.

Anderlecht are interested in signing the Argentine, according to Di Marzio and also Manuele Baiocchini. The two clubs are talking to understand the feasibility of the operation, which could be completed in the final days of the window.

Having arrived last summer on a permanent basis, the 21-year-old defender was unable to find much playing time. He was unlucky too, given that he finally got his debut away at Napoli but broke his foot in the same game, ruling him out for two months.

Pellegrino has only 68 minutes of Serie A action, but the report claims that Milan still believe in his qualities as shown by the fact they gave him a contract running summer until 2028.

The Argentine could join his compatriot Luka Romero in leaving for a loan spell abroad, with Almeria being the destination of choice for the winger.
