Sky: Milan avoid loss on exit of midfield outcast – €21m and percentage on future resale

Lucas Paqueta is ready to end his adventure with Milan, just one and a half year after he joined from Flamengo. Lyon have reached an agreement for the transfer with the Rossoneri, who reportedly will avoid a capital loss.

Initial reports suggested that Milan would make a loss of €2-3m, but Sky Italia journalist Luca Marchetti has contradicted this (via MilanNews.it). The Rossoneri will simply break even, which is a good result considering Paqueta’s form as of late.

Lyon will pay €21m for the permanent transfer and Milan will also have a percentage on a future resale. A lot of the club’s transfer strategies depending on the exit of the Brazilian and with just a few days left of the window, the deal was concluded.

In 44 appearances for the club, albeit not all of them from start, Paqueta only managed to score one goal. This pretty much tells you everything you need to know about his spell with Milan, who will be happy to have sold him.

    1. Regret selling a player that manage to score one goal with one assist in 44 appearance. All the players in this team have been rejuvenated except for this particular guy… Good job Maldini/Massara.
