AC Milan are one of three teams interested in a move for Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, according to a report.
New head coach Marco Giampaolo’s preferred 4-3-1-2 system means that the Rossoneri are in desperate need of quality midfield reinforcements this summer.
Persistent links with Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos and Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira have subsequently followed, however a new name has now emerged.
According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), Milan have joined Inter and Spurs in the race for Roma’s star midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Their report claims that while the player himself would prefer to remain in the capital, it is possible that the club could choose to sacrifice him in order to make a substantial capital gain.
Pellegrini played 25 times in Serie A last season, scoring twice and adding three assists, and he reportedly has a release clause of just €30million.
