Sky: Milan closing in on midfield signing and have two players lined up – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan look to be closing in on securing yet another midfield signing as a deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko is moving forward, it is claimed.

According to Sky on Thursday night (via MilanLive), Milan are continuing negotiations with Chelsea for Bakayoko  The goal is to find the best solution: Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have asked the player’s agent to continue discussing it.

The problem is the demand set by the Blues for the option to buy, which they want to be around €33-35m, which is more than Milan would like to pay (€30m).

Negotiations are progressing positively and there are good feelings that a conclusion will be reached in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Sky also gave updates on a couple more issues, starting with back-up goalkeeper. Maldini would like Begovic back, but the club will not match the salary he currently receives at Bournemouth. That’s why Sportiello of Atalanta is evaluated.

Meanwhile, Diego Laxalt could also leave, and to replace him there have been new contacts with Matias Vina, the left-back of Palmeiras who was a target in January.
