After completing the signing of Soualiho Meite, thus reinforcing the midfield, Milan are now focusing on the back-four and getting a new centre-back. By the looks of it, their new player could be Fikayo Tomori.
According to Manuele Baiocchini (via MilanNews), speaking live on Sky Italia, the Rossoneri have made the centre-back position their priority. Between and Monday, they will try to close the deal for Tomori with Chelsea.
The formula is a loan with an option to buy, but the clubs are still discussing the value of the buy-out clause. The Blues are asking for €30m, while Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are hoping to lower the number.
The parties could perhaps meet at €20-25m plus bonuses, as the report states, but it’s clear that there is a will on both sides to close the deal. In the coming days, as said, we will know more about the situation.
