Sky: Milan hold new talks with entourage of Chelsea forward – ‘confidence’ filters regarding the deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan held fresh talks with the entourage of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud on Wednesday and there is optimism that he could still arrive.

During Gianluca Di Marzio’s segment for Calciomercato L’Originale on Sky Italia (via MilanNews) last night, the journalist gave an update on the negotiation between Milan and Olivier Giroud and confirmed that agents spoke with Milan on Wednesday. It was a very positive contact and the details of his contract have been filed.

Now it is up to the agents to get Chelsea to let Giroud leave the club without paying a transfer fee, because Milan have no interest in paying for the 34-year-old Frenchman. There is great ‘confidence’ regarding the operation though as the entourage has made it clear that they want to make the move happen and are working to do so. Milan are waiting for that development and have a two-year contract ready for Giroud.

    1. No idea. Now that we’ve got back in CL, suddenly they’ve started looking @ average & old players. All of that makes zero sense.
