AC Milan are looking to replace Sandro Tonali whose sale to Newcastle United is imminent, while strengthening the midfield department overall.
Sky are reporting that Milan do not intend to stop after the signing of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea and are pushing to try and reach an agreement with Valencia over Yunus Musah, having verbally agreed terms with the player.
The USA international is not the only option that the management are exploring though, because Tijjani Reijnders remains a target and is among the favourites on the list of Geoffrey Moncada. However, negotiations with AZ Alkmaar have not yet begun.
There have also been ‘in-depth contacts’ with the agents of Nicolas Dominguez of Bologna who is expected to move on this summer. The 24-year-old is more of a natural defensive midfielder, and knows the league well.
During a feature earlier this week we highlighted the need for balance in Milan’s midfield through the signing of a more typical No.6.
Dominguez would help solve a lot of the issues we had last year IMO, seems to be a focus on box-to-box players at the moment.
