AC Milan are not keen in inserting a release clause into Gianluigi Donnarumma’s proposed new deal, according to a report.
There has been an abundance of speculation in the media regarding what the future holds for Donnarumma as his deal expires in 2021, meaning the club must try reach an agreement over an extension before the season resumes or sell to avoid the risk of losing him for free.
According to what Gianluca Di Marzio has told Sky Sport 24 (via MilanNews), the meeting between the Rossoneri management and Donnarumma regarding his renewal will be staged from Monday onwards.
Milan’s will is to meet Mino Raiola and make a significant offer, one which will begin with matching his current €6m-a-year salary, but the Rossoneri would like to avoid inserting a release clause.
Meanwhile, Alfredo Pedulla reported yesterday that Juventus have been at the window for months observing the situation surrounding Donnarumma, and are awaiting developments on the negotiations.
